As I share my thoughts on mental health, I am very sensitive to the development of the mind. From spiritual infancy to spiritual maturity. And the reason I come from this perspective is because the instructions given will be coming from the bible. Just look at 1st Corinthians 2:12-16 which speaks on the difference of human being’s minds. If you belong to God, then you can hear clear instructions because our mind is connected to the mind of God. And as we grow up to maturity, all the thoughts that would hurt us would be recognized from where the thoughts came from. And if not of the family of God, then you can’t hear the voice of God. And you’re left with the thoughts that are depressing, destructive, and worrisome. At this point you have a choice to make; meditate on the things that brings peace, through Jesus, which He states in John 14:27, “My peace I give you.” I’m coming from a Christ minded position. Lastly, whatever you meditate on Will enter your heart. Proverbs 23:7 tells us, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he!” So whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, are of good report, if there is any virtue, anything praiseworthy, think on these things!” Philippians 4:8
